Trunk or Treat!
The Sunday before Thanksgiving we will be a part of the annual community Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by The Shepherd's Hand Community Outreach Center in the afternoon. The dinner will be free to the community, featuring all the traditional, home-cooked fare. Please come and join us for this wonderful fellowship dinner with friends and neighbors. Annual Events
You are invited to join us for VBS July 27-28, 2023 as we learn about Jesus, the Savior of the world, who gives us faith to trust in Him and feeds us in body and in soul! We will learn about the amazing things God did (and still does!) for His people through food, and how he feeds His people in many ways. This year we will participate in the Fort Wayne City of Churches tour by gathering a group to visit a variety of local historic churches. Contact us if you would like to join!
Each year Shepherd of the City hosts a Trunk-or-Treat on a Saturday before Halloween in October from 3pm to 5pm. Please join us to enjoy treats, games, and lots of fun! And don't forget a costume! We had a great turnout last year and hope to see you again this fall.
Each year we host our Hymn Fest, and have a great time hearing God's Word, and enjoying beautiful music, while welcoming new and old friends to Shepherd of the City. This worship service will be extra special this year as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary on Sunday October 4th under the theme "Jubilee in the City". After the service, all are welcome to enjoy fellowship and a reception across the street at The Shepherd's Hand Community Outreach Center. We hope to see you and your family for this year's Hymn Fest! More information will be listed soon.
SOC's BBQ Fundraiser:
August 5, 2023
Each August we host our annual BBQ fundraiser, featuring special recipe barbecue ribs, chicken, and rib tips. Join us Saturday August 8th to grab lunch or dinner for the whole family! All proceeds from this wonderful, home-cooked food go toward supporting our congregation's ongoing mission work here in the heart of Fort Wayne. All are welcome to eat, enjoy, and help out. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer at this event to support the work of our congregation!
