Annual Events

Join us for VBS on June 5-7 from 9:30am-noon as we learn about Jesus, the Savior of the world, who gives us faith to trust in Him! This year we will learn about the amazing things God did (and still does!) for His people on mountains. Crafts, music, games, snacks, and Bible stories were all be part of our 3 fun days.  We look forward to having you join us this year! Contact the church for more information.

On November 18, 2018, Shepherd of the City Lutheran Church hosted it's 9th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner free to the community, featuring all the traditional fare. Please come and join us November 2019 for this wonderful fellowship dinner.  If you would like to volunteer this year, or if you have any questions, please contact the church.  Looking forward to seeing you there!

Hymn Festival

Each year we host our annual Fort Wayne Famous BBQ fundraiser, featuring  special recipe barbecue ribs, chicken, rib tips and tasty sides. All proceeds from this wonderful, home-cooked food will go toward supporting The Shepherd's Hand Community Outreach Center health and education programs. All are welcome to eat, enjoy, and help out. Spread the word and please contact us if you would like to make a donation to this effort, or have any questions. See you at the next BBQ!

Please come and visit Shepherd of the City during the Fort Wayne Annual City of Churches Tour 2019. Enjoy our festive Advent Season Decor and refreshments. We look forward to having you join us!

Each year we host our Hymn Fest, and have a great time hearing God's Word, and enjoying beautiful music, while welcoming new and old friends to Shepherd. This special worship service features local musical talent. On Sunday, February 17th we enjoyed the musical talent of Organist Dr. John Eifert, instrumentalists from our congregation, and local vocal talent. Our guest preacher was Rev. Dr. William Weinrich, who will bring God's Word to us under the theme "The Shepherd's Hands". After the service, all are welcome to enjoy fellowship and a reception. We hope to see you and your family for this year's Hymn Fest!
